At Youth Harmony Project, we believe that music has the ability to cross divides and connect people. We strive to spread joy and kindness to people in assisted living through music performances, which are organized and performed by our youth volunteers.

Bringing Music to Life

One Performance at a Time

Antoinette Katsas is a 15-year-old musician and the founder of Youth Harmony Project. She believes music is a powerful tool for inspiration, connection, and service. These values led her to create this organization. Together with her sister, she manages the behind-the-scenes planning of concerts and creation of this website.

Since the age of five, Antoinette has been performing at nursing homes in Northern Virginia communities. Her musical background includes eleven years of piano, two years of harp, multiple years of folk performances on ukulele and guitar, plus various vocal experience. She regularly completes in the National Association of Teachers of Singing vocal competitions, as well as the National Federation of Music Clubs piano evaluation.

She has performed in the Youth Chorus with Washington National Opera, in the productions of The Little Prince, The Jungle Book, and Turandot.  These experiences shaped her belief that live musical performances are a positive force in bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds.

Angelina Katsas is a 13-year-old performer who helped shape the vision of Youth Harmony Project. At the age of 3, she began playing the piano at nursing homes across Northern Virginia. For a decade, Angelina has enjoyed studying piano and musical performance, and has competed in National Federation of Music Clubs and CKS Jazz Festival piano evaluations.

She works alongside Antoinette to help coordinate concerts, support performers, and ensure each event runs smoothly. Her enthusiasm and collaborative spirit help make Youth Harmony Project a welcoming space. In her free time, Angelina enjoys playing a variety of sports, especially softball.
